IBSF Skeleton Events:
Men’s Skeleton | Women’s Skeleton
Skeleton Mixed Team

Maximum Quota Places per NOC:
Men’s and Women’s Skeleton: 25 sleds
Skeleton Mixed Team: 25 teams

Eligibility:
Athletes must be in the top 70 men or top 55 women of the IBSF Ranking List for the 2025/2026 season by January 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM Lausanne, Switzerland time.

Athletes must have been ranked in eight (8) IBSF races on three (3) different tracks between October 1, 2024 and January 18, 2026. Further, they must have been ranked in five (5) of those races on two (2) tracks during the 2025/2026 season.

Tiebreaker for points goes to the highest points obtained in a single race, then the highest point finish in the last race before the qualification deadline, then the penultimate race to qualification deadline and so on.

Quota Allocation:
Quota for two (2) NOCs with three (3) athletes go to the two nations with the top ranked third athlete on the IBSF Ranking List. For the nations with two (2) athletes, it will go to the nation with the top ranked second athlete in a nation not already receiving a quota for three (3) sleds. Finally, the single-sled NOCs will have the top ranked athlete of any nation not already receiving quota spots.

The NOCs receive the quota spots, not the athletes. So an athlete can qualify the spot, but still have someone else sent to the Games.

Reallocation of Unused Quota Places:
– Quota places cannot be reallocated to another discipline, so an unused men’s spot cannot be transferred to the women’s side and vice versa.
– Any unused quota places available for reallocation go to the next eligible NOC with the best ranked athlete on the IBSF Ranking List that did not earn a quota place. So if a team has  three (3) quota spots and chooses to only use two of them, that third spot goes to an NOC without a spot, not the top-ranked two (2) sled quota team.

Skeleton Mixed Team:
Only nations with quota places for the Olympic Games will be able to field teams for the Skeleton Mixed Team Competition.
