If the athlete/team is unable to complete the above due to concrete and approved circumstances (eg. Injury), a special request may be made by the NOC prior to January 2, 2026 to review eligibility for the participation.

Quota Allocation Process:
Men’s and Women’s Luge:
– NOCs with one (1) athlete ranked in men’s/women’s Olympic Season World Cup Ranking List will be allocated one (1) quota place until the maximum of 15 men’s/women’s singles is reached (15 initial allocations)
– NOCs with a second athlete ranked in the men’s/women’s Olympic Season World Cup Ranking List will be allocated a second quota place until 22 singles positions are reached (7 additional allocations per discipline)
– NOCs with a third athlete ranked in the men’s/women’s Olympic Season World Cup Ranking List will be allocated a third quota place until 25 singles positions are reached (3 additional allocations per discipline)

Tiebreaker: The athlete/team with the better ranking in one (1) World Cup race during the Olympic season wins a tiebreak. If still tied, the better ranking in one (1) Nation’s Cup race during the Olympic season. If still tied, the athlete/team who has a higher number of better rankings (e.g. 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th).

Remaining Quota Allocation:
If there are still remaining quota places that are not filled, quota places will be allocated to the next highest ranked eligible athlete/team from an NOC that has not earned a quota place.

If there are still quota places that are not filled after applying the above criteria, quota places will be allocated to the NOC with the next highest ranked athlete/team based on the respective event’s World Cup Ranking List.
