From Whistler, CAN
(November 12, 2022) – Brad Hall and his four-man bobsled team beat out a small but strong field to win his first four-man bobsled race of the 2022/2023 season.
Hall and his crew set the quick start and had the best downtime in both heats on their way to a .17 second victory over the United States’ Frank Del Duca. The gold for Hall was his first ever in North American Cup, a tour where he has 15 starts spread across three seasons.
Del Duca’s silver came at the expense of North American rival Taylor Austin. Del Duca’s squad out-pushed Austin’s by a total of .15, which was more than the .08 that the two teams were separated by in the race. The medals for Del Duca and Austin continue a four-man bobsled NAC streak of medals for both, with Del Duca on every four-man podium since February 2021 and Austin on every one since December 2019.
Swiss pilots Cedric Follador and Michael Vogt finished fourth and fifth respectively, while four-time Olympian Christopher Spring finished sixth in the second Canadian sled.
