(May 23, 2022) – The International Luge Federation (FIL) has released their 2022/2023 calendar today, and with it a return to North American tracks on tour.
The season will open in Igls for not just one, but two races in Austria, with a Sprint World Cup race to open the season and the first Team Relay of the year a week later.
The tour then moves to North America where athletes will spend two weeks before the Christmas break. Whistler will host a relay event while Park City will host a sprint.
After the holiday the season is effectively nonstop through the middle of February, with races in Sigulda, Lillehammer, Altenberg, Winterberg, and St. Moritz rounding out the schedule.
World Championships will be held in Oberhof on the last weekend of January.
