(January 16, 2022) – Below are the point standings for the IBSF European Cup bobsled season. The women’s season was seven races long, as one race (Altenberg) did not have enough sleds to constitute an official points race.
Two-Woman Bobsled
Stephanie Schneider dominated the European Cup two-woman bobsled season, winning five of the seven available gold medals, and never finishing off the podium. The German finished hear year nearly two full races ahead of second place.
Lidiia Hunko scored the best finish ever for a Ukrainian bobsledder in a European Cup season, ending her second in second place. While never finishing on the podium, she did score two top five finishes.
Georgeta Popescu was the top junior in third. She scored two top four finishes.
Russia’s Alena Osipenko finished the second in fourth, whil Lisa Buckwitz and Maureen Zimmer finished fifth and sixth for Germany after racing half of the season.

Two-Man Bobsled
Germany’s Richard Oelsner was the class of the field when it came to European Cup two-man bobsled season. Oelsner won six of eight races on his way to a near 200 point victory over Swiss pilot Cedric Follador.
Follador won two medals on his way to his second place finish, 24 points ahead of Russia’s Alexey Stulnev in third.
Michael Kuonen started seven of eight races to finish the season in fourth, while German juniors Jonas Jannusch and Max Illmann finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Four-Man Bobsled
Russia’s Alexey Stulnev began the season with his first career IBSF win, and finished the season well ahead of anyone else for a European Cup title.
Stulnev won four gold medals and three silvers to amass 906 points.
Two-man champion Richard Oelsner finished the season in second place, ten points ahead of Cedric Follador in third.
Jonas Jannusch was again the top junior in fourth, ahead of Vyacheslav Popov in fifth and France’s David Baechler in sixth.
