(November 27, 2021) – Lisa Buckwitz won her second gold medal in as many events, cruising to victory in Altenberg.
Buckwitz and brakewoman Vanessa Mark had the quick start in both heats and the two fastest runs of the competition to beat teammate Anne Spreeuwers by 1.1 seconds.
The gold for Buckwitz was her second in two days, having won the women’s monobob race the previous day.
Spreeuwers won her first silver medal of the year, while Ukraine’s Lidiia Hunko won bronze.
