(November 14, 2021) – Germany’s Lisa Buckwitz won her first race of the season, and second as a pilot, beating out teammate Stephanie Schneider for top honors.
Buckwitz and brakewoman Marijana Herrmann set the quick time off the top in both heats, and after one run was just .02 ahead of Schneider. The second run was even closer, with Schneider moving into the lead with only Buckwtiz to go. Buckwitz once again edged out Schneider, just by .01 in the run for a total of a .03 second victory.
Russia’s Alena Osipenko finished third, a full second off of Buckwitz’s pace.
Georgeta Popescu, Lidiia Hunko, and Emma Brumoen rounded out the top six.
