Form Whistler, CAN
(November 13, 2021) – Taylor Austin won his second straight four-man bobsled race and fifth race overall to start the 2021/2022 season. The Canadian was once again the quickest in both heats on his way to a .45 second victory over Youngjin Suk of South Korea.
Austin’s squad gave him the quickest push in the second heat, where he was the fastest at every split.
Suk’s silver was his best four-man bobsled finish ever, and best bobsled finish since the Whistler stop of the North American Cup in November 2017 (Whistler).
Frank Del Duca kept his streak of medals alive with a bronze after coming into the second heat in second place.
Edson Bindilatti finished fourth, ahead of Chunjian Li of China and Drazen Silic of Croatia. Silic’s sixth place effort was his best since 2017 (Calgary NAC).
Tyler Hickey finished seventh in the second sled for the United States.
