From Whistler, CAN
(November 9, 2021) – Nicole Silveira’s incredible start to the 2021/2022 season continued with a third straight win in Whistler, holding off a trio of Canadians and a Latvian for top honors.
The Brazilian put down the two fastest times of the race to win by nearly a full second. In all three races in Whistler Silveira managed to set the quickest runs of the event.
Canada’s Madi Charney won silver for the second time in two races, .34 ahead of teammate Hallie Clarke, who won her second straight bronze.
Latvia’s Darta Zunte finished fourth, tying her best ever finish outside of Latvia (Königssee European Cup, 2019).
Grace Dafoe helped put three Canadian sleds in the top five with a fifth place run, her best finish of the 2021/2022 season thus far. Dafoe has finished in the top ten in every race in the 2021 calendar year.
Italy’s Alessandra Fumagalli finished just behind Dafoe in sixth.
Sweden’s Leslie Stratton finished just outside of the top six in seventh place, while Great Britain’s Amelia Coltman finished out of the top ten in 11th.
