Kaillie Humphries was led from the get-go here in Lake Placid, and showed no signs of 
slowing down. She had opened up a .40 lead going into the final run, and the lead was just too insurmountable for Sandra Kiriasis and Elana Meyers. Humphries wins the 2012 World Championship, while Kiriasis and Meyers take silver and gold.
Cathleen Martini and Helen Upperton made it two sleds for both Germany and Canada in the top 5, while Jazmine Fenlator put her sled into the top 10 with four consistant runs. American Bree Schaaf finishes 12th.
