Feb. 19, 2021 – Kimberley Bos continued her strong 2020/2021 season with a gold medal in Intercontinental Cup action in Igls.
Bos set the fast two times of the race on her way to a .53 second victory over Germany’s Susanne Kreher. Kreher, the ICC point leader, had the second two quickest runs of the race to finish in the silver medal position, well ahead of Russia’s Alena Frolova in third.
For Bos, the gold medal was her fourth on the Intercontinental Cup tour. It was her third straight ICC victory in Igls.
Corinna Leipold finished fourth, just .11 out of the medals, while teammate Sarah Wimmer finished fifth. Alessandra Fumagalli rounded out the top six.
With one race to go in the ICC tour, Kreher holds a slim 24 point advantage over Leipold.
