From Lake Placid, USA
Twenty-nine sleds will take to the track today in two-man bobsled, going down based on points.
The Americans will use their home ice advantage 7th (Holcomb), 15th (Cunningham) and 16th (Napier). Holcomb and Napier sat out the last two World Cup stops in Canada to train in Lake Placid for Worlds, so their point totals aren’t entirely indicative of where they would normally be in the World Cup standings. Same goes for the Canadian, Kripps, who is piloting Canada 2 after bobteam Spring wrecked in Europe earlier in the season.
