(Jan. 15, 2021) – Germany’s Philipp Zielasko won his second straight IBSF European Cup four-man race, once again cruising to victory.
Zielasko had the two fastest times of the race on his way to a .65 second victory in Igls, a track known for its close finishes.
Finishing second was Aleksandr Bredikhin. The Russian’s team had the fastest start of the race in the second heat, and his two downtimes were enough for a nearly .3 second advantage over Latvia’s David Kaufmanis in third.
Swiss two-man winner Michael Kuonen finished fourth, ahead of teammate Timo Rohner and Russia’s Maxim Andrianov who tied for fifth.
Germany’s Max Illmann came into the second heat in the bronze medal position, but crashed on his second run to finish 14th.
