From Calgary, Canada
Using a bit of home-track advantage, the Humphries/Ciochetti CAN1 sled has a tenth of a second advantage over second place GER2 Schneiderheinze/Thöene sled. The early part of the CAN1 run had a sizable skid off the first turn, so there’s actually room for some improvement. Martini just has to finish 10th or better to clinch the World Cup crown for the 2011/2012 season.
Third and fourth are also German sleds, with Kiriasis leading Martini by .26. Tied for fourth with Martini is the Upperton/Brown CAN2 sled.
American teams currently sit 9th (Schaaf), 13th (Greubel) and 16th (Hill).
