From Calgary, Canada
Martins Dukurs finishes a dominating season in style. Short of crashing in his final run in Turn 2, there was no chance of him losing the World Cup title. Dukurs wins in Calgary, winning all but one race throughout the 2011/2012 campaign. Alexander Tretiakov takes silver, and Frank Rommel takes bronze.
Tomass Dukurs finishes fourth with two consistant runs. American John Daly has had a rather forgettable season, but tonight he was on point. Daly had two consistant runs and finished fifth, his best result in the 2011/2012 World Cup season. The finish, plus a great run in St. Moritz a few weeks back gives him some momentum going into Lake Placid and the World Championships. Teammate Matt Antoine had a tough mid-section of run 2 and couldn’t manage any better than ninth.
A big second run from Eric Neilson, combined with some rough rides for other competitors, moved the Canadian from 12th to 6th. His teammates finish 13th (Fairbairn) and 18th (Douglas).
