From La Plagne, FRA
(Dec. 16, 2017) Krists Netlaus took gold again in La Plagne, sweeping both men’s skeleton European Cup races there for the 2017/2018 IBSF EC season.
Netlaus once again outpaced a gaggle of Russians, with Russia rounding out the remainder of the top five behind the Latvian.
The win for Netlaus left him leading the European Cup with just two races to go.
Evgeniy Rukosuev once again finished with a silver medal in La Plagne, ahead of countrymen Artem Drozdov in third and Alisher Mamdeov and Konstantin Khoroshko who finished tied for fourth.
Samuel Maier finished sixth.
Stephen Garbett led the way for the United States in ninth place, while teammate Alex Ivanov finished just outside of the top 10 in 12th.
