From Winterberg, GER
(Nov. 18, 2017) For the second time in as many races, the German men’s skeleton team swept the podium in European Cup.
Fabian Küchler led the way for a strong German effort, setting the fast time in both heats on the way to a .27 win over Martin Rosenberger.
Bronze medalist Felix Seibel came into the second run in fifth place, but leapfrogged both teammate Dominic Rady and British slider Craig Thompson by the end of the race.
Thompson finished fourth, just .02 ahead of Rady, while Race 2 winner Krists Netlaus of Latvia rounded out the top six.
Stephen Garbett was the top-finishing American in 12th place, while Alex Ivanov struggled to find speed in his first run, finishing 28th.
