The IBSF has released their 2016/2017 World Cup schedule, featuring two races in North America, and the first ever IBSF World Cup race in South Korea.
As has been genearlly customary over the last few years, the World Cup will start its season in North America. The season begins in Whistler, before the tour makes its yearly stop to Lake Placid before the Christmas break.
The weekend after New Years will see the season reconvene in Europe with three of the next four races in Germany. Sochi will host its first sliding sport World Championships at the end of February, before the final race of the season in PyeongChang.
Currently the only other tour item on the official calendar thus far is the Para-Sport World Championships, which will be held in St. Moritz. The rest of the official schedules for Intercontinental Cup, European Cup, and North American Cup will be released at a later date.
