The Italian team of Oberstolz & Gruber took gold ahead of the two dominant World Cup teams of Wendl & Arlt and Eggert & Benecken. The team of Penz & Fischler finished fourth for Austria, while Americans Mortensen & Terdimann finished fifth.

Women’s Sprint Cup
It was the same podium in Women’s Sprint World Cup as it was in the regular luge event, with Summer Britcher taking gold, ahead of teammate Erin Hamlin. Dajana Eitberger and Natalie Geisenberger finished third and fourth for Germany, with Alex Gough taking a fifth place finish after a rough race the night before.
With the win, Summer Britcher leapfrogs Erin Hamlin in the World Cup standings, with Hamlin second.

Men’s Luge
Wolfgang Kindl threw down a huge run in the Men’s Sprint World Cup to take gold ahead of Dominik Fischnaller and Felix Loch, who scored silver and bronze. World Cup point leader coming into the race, Chris Mazdzer had a disastrous run, finishing 14th and losing the World Cup lead to Kindl, while staying just ahead of Fischnaller in points.
Tucker West was the top-scoring American in fifth.
