Cathleen Martini won gold last week in Königssee, and it looked like she might have the sled to beat again. Martini held a .08 advantage over teammate Anja Schneiderheinze going into the second run, but a sloppy run saw her drop well behind, giving the win to Schneiderheinze. Martini would settle for the silver part of a Germany 1-2, while Jamie Greubel Poser took bronze for the United States. The gold medal is the first of the year for Schneiderheinze.
Elana Meyers Taylor took fourth for the United States while setting yet another start record. Meyers Taylor still holds onto the overall point lead, just ahead of Schneiderheinze. Elfje Willemsen of Belgium took fifth.
Jazmine Fenlator finished eighth, making it all three American sleds in the top eight. Fenlator finished one spot behind Kaillie Humphries of Canada.
