From Sochi, Russia
The track in Sochi inexplicably slowed up with ten sleds to go, but Sandra Kirasis managed to out-drive the track, as well as Elana Meyers and Kaillie Humphries, to win gold in Sochi. Meyers and brakewoman Aja Evans set the push record and had a quick run down to take silver, while Humphries will finish the season medaling in every event to take bronze. Cathleen Martini had a seemingly clean run but fell back to fourth while Fabienne Meyer takes fifth for Switzerland.
Jennifer Ciochetti took advantage of the slower track conditions right after her run to take sixth for Canada, while the USA’s Jamie Greubel and Jazmine Fenlator finish ninth and 13th, respectively. It was a tough day for British Bobsleigh, with Paula Walker 16th and Victoria Olaoye 19th.
