The Lambachers took the lead from Gabriel and Samuel Halcin by over two seconds. Teammates Tobias Paur and Andreas Hofer pulled off .27 off the pace from the Lambachers from the top, and bled time from there. They finished .58 back, enough for a medal but out of the lead.

Pichler and Edlinger were the final team off. They too were off the pace from the top, as they gave up a tenth at the first split. The Austrians did make up tie, and were ahead by the second intermediate split. But a few small mistakes midway in their run sealed the fate for Pichler and Edlinger.

The Austrians were .44 back at the line, good enough for silver behind Lambacher and Lambacher.

The win was the first on the World Cup tour this season for the Lambachers, with Pichler and Edlinger second and Paur and Hofer third.

The Italians’ victory put them ahead of teammates Paur and Hofer, but still 60 points behind Pichler and Edlinger with two events to go in the 2024/2025 season.
