Kim Edges Bujnowski in Park City

(January 12, 2025) – Yooran Kim held off NAC point leader Kristen Bujnowski to win her first two-woman gold in North American in over seven years.

The race was a one-heat race. First off the top was Taiwan’s Sin-Rong Lin and Yu-Chieh Liang. The duo held off Nigeria’s Simidele Adeagbo and Kewe King, but gave up the lead one sled later to USA’s Riley Tejcek and Andin Fosam.

The Americans held off efforts by Jamaica and Thailand, but then succumbed to Kim. She and Eunji Jeon had what would be the second quickest start of the race and the quick downtime to that point.

The next sled up belonged to Bujnowski. She and Charlotte Ross out-started Kim by a tenth, and were ahead throughout the bulk of her slide, but fell behind late and crossed the line behind by .06.

Kim took gold, her first win outside of Asia in two-woman bobsled since November 4, 2017. Bujnowski took silver, and Tejcek bronze.

Lin, Adanna Johnson, and Agnese Campeol rounded out the top six, with Adeagbo seventh.

With two races to go in the North American Cup, Kristen Bujnowski holds a 126 point lead over Agnese Campeol and can clinch the season title with clean race in Lake Placid. Bianca Ribi, who has moved on to the World Cup fo rthe season, sits third. Riley Tejcek and Erica Voss are fourth and fifth.
