From Park City, USA
(January 8, 2025) – Kris Horn won his second straight two-man bobsled gold medal in Park City on Wednesday as the second half of the North American Cup season kicked off.
Horn and brakeman Adrian Adams had the quick start time in the first heat, and Horn the quick slide at every split to take the lead with a time tat only Geoff Gadbois could get within a quarter of a second of.
In the second run, Gadbois and Hunter Powell put down a second top three start, and Gadbois the quickest run of the heat to that point to take the lead handily over Youngjin Suk.
Horn and Adams once again set the quick start time in the second heat, and Horn once again drove the duo to the fast downtime of the heat and a .36 second victory over Gadbois for his second straight two-man victory.
Gadbois took silver, with Suk and brakeman Hyunwoo Jung bronze.
AJ Edelman and Regnars Kirejevs finished fourth, with Eson Bindilatti and Edson Martins fifth. Jamaica’s Shane Pitter with Tyreek Bucknor and Canada’s Jay Deaborn and brakeman Kenny-Luketa M’Pindou rounded out the top six in a tie for the position.
USA’s Grady Mercer took eighth, Canada’s Cyrus Gray ninth, and Australia’s Cam Scott tenth.
