Sandra Kirasis didn’t have a great push in her second heat, but the German did just enough to beat Canadian Kaillie Humphries by .01 seconds. Humphries had a uncharacteristically bumpy ride down, and barely edged American Jazmine Fenlator for silver. Fenlator put forth what could be considered a career-best drive, with the New Jersey pilot scoring her second bronze medal of the year and the first on foreign soil (the other being home track Lake Placid). German Anja Schneiderheinze and American Elana Meyers take fourth and fifth, making it the second time this season USA women took two of the top five spots in bobsled. Meyers had the top push in both heats.
Jamie Greubel finished ninth, placing all three American sleds in the top 10, while Jennifer Ciochetti takes 14th for Canada. Paula Walker finishes 7th and Victoria Olaoye 16th for Great Britain.
