Horn Edges Gadbois in NAC Four-Man Action

From Park City, USA

(December 6, 2024) – Kris Horn and his team had the quick start of the one-heat four-man bobsled race on Friday, and Horn’s drive was just good enough to hold off teammate Geoff Gadbois for gold in Park City.

Horn’s team was the tenth team off the top, and they slid to a .38 second advantage over Brazil’s Edson Bindilatti, who has held the lead from the third starting position. Up next was Gadbois. His team was just .01 off the pace at the top, and Gadbois kept it close the whole way down the 2002 Olympic track, and as he crossed the finish line found himself just .04 behind Horn.

The final sled off the top was that of Trinidad and Tobago’s Axel Brown. Brown put down a solid drive of his own, and missed out on the podium by just a tenth of a second, as Horn took gold, Gadbois silver, and Bindilatti bonze.

Canada’s Cyrus Gray finished fourth, Brown fifth, and Canada’s Pat Norton sixth.

Jay Dearborn finished seventh in the remaining Canadian sled, while Americans Gracy Mercer and Shane Fisher finished eighth and ninth. Australia’s Cam Scott rounded out the top ten
