Ribi Leads Canadian Two-Woman NAC Podium Sweep

From Whistler, CAN

(November 25, 2024) – Bianca Ribi won her second gold medal of the IBSF North America Cup season, this time in two-woman bobsled where she led a four-sled sweep for Canada.

Ribi and brakewoman Niamh Haughey had the fast start time in each heat to go with the quickest downtime in each run on their way to a .26 second victory over teammates Erica Voss and Eden Wilson.

Ribi’s gold was her third straight in two-woman North American Cup action. Her previous two golds were in the 2022/2023 NAC season, also in Whistler.

For Voss, the silver medal was her first medal as a pilot in the two-seater.

The team of Kristen Bujnowski and Charlotte Ross finished third for Bujnowski’s first medal as a two-woman pilot.

The first sled off the podium also belonged to Canada. Mackenzie Stewart and Leah Walkeden missed a medal by .09 and finished fourth.

Riley Tejcek and Andin Fosam were in the first non-Canadian sled in fifth, 1.98 seconds off of Ribi’s pace.

Thailand’s Agnese Campeol and Paethong Wannakhot rounded out the top six.
