From Yanqing, CHN
(November 23, 2024) – Guanshuo Wang won her first IBSF Asian Cup gold medal with a decisive victory over teammate Yanqi Zhu in the fifth stop of the Asian Cup tour.
Wang had the quick start in both heats and had the fast split in both as well on her way to a .73 second victory over Zhu.
The win was Wang’s first after two bronze medals in Pyeongchang the week before.
Zhu’s medal was her second. She’d previously won gold in the third race of the season in Pyeongchang.
Rounding out the podium was Minji Kim of Korea, who was well behind the top two but had enough to take bronze.
Vietnam’s Khanh Nguyen made her first start of the season and finished fourth, ahead of Yeeun Chung in fifth.
