Martins Dukurs wins again. The win in Altenberg is his 18th in his last 22 attempts. Germans Alexander Kroeckel and Frank Rommel take silver and bronze despite adverse track conditions. Tomass Dukurs leapfrogs Christopher Grotheer to take fourth, while Grotheer (the third German slider) finishes fifth. An injured Kristan Bromley finishes sixth for Great Britain.

Rookie Brad Stewart led the way for the Americans in 19th place, with John Daly and Kyle Tress just behind him in 20th and 21st. Jon Montgomery led the way for Canada with a ninth place finish, while teammates John Fairbairn and Eric Neilson finish 11th and 14th respectively. Ed Smith and Dominic Parsons finish 10th and 12th for Great Britain.
