From Jaufental, ITA
(February 2, 2024) – Matthias and Peter Lambacher won their fourth gold in five races on the 2023/2024 season in Jaufental.
Teammates Tobias Paur and Andreas Hofer slid to the lead from the fifth starting spot and held that spot as Slovakia’s Peter and Dominik Neupauer couldn’t quite match their pace.
Maxmilian Pichler and Nico Edlinger then slid to the lead, having overcome a slight start deficit to go up by .44 over the Italians.
The final team off were the Lambachers. They took the lead from the start, and held on for the duration of their run a they crossed the line .46 ahead of the Austrian duo.
Pichler and Edlinger took silver, with Paur and Hofer bronze.
The Neupauers finished fourth, .21 ahead of Germany’s Bine Mekina and Simon Dietz in fifth.
