Kaillie Humphries is the last remaining unbeaten slider going into 2013. Beat Hefti, who didn’t want to race four-man last year, is the first pilot to beat Alexander Zubkov. Zubkov had the fastest run in Heat 2, but it wasn’t enough to unseat the Swede. Zubkov’s Russian countryman Alexander Kasjanov finishes third, while Max Arndt and Oskars Melbardis finish fourth and fifth, respectively.
It was a tough run for Steven Holcomb and USA 1, the ride was clean but the speed just wasn’t there for the Olympic and World Champ, and Holcomb finishes 7th. Teammate Nick Cunningham picks up two spots to finish 12th, while Cory Butner gets credit for 24th. Justin Kripps led the way for Canada in 14th, while Lyndon Rush and Chris Spring finish tied for 19th. John Jackson matches his two-man position today in four-man, finishing 8th.
