From Winterberg, GER
(January 12, 2024) – Austria’s Noah Kallan slid to a big victory over a trio of Germans in Winterberg in Junior World Cup action.
Kallan had nearly a .3 second lead over German standout Marco Leger, with Hans Fritzsch and Hannes Röder both in the hunt for medals behind him.
Kallan’s second run was once again the fastest, in fact the second fastest run of the day, and enough to win by .324 over Leger.
Germany’s Hans Fritzsch finished third as the only slider within a second of Kallan.
Röder and the United States’ Aidan Mueller tied for fourth, 1.089 behind Kallan.
The United States’ Seth Coates finished 11th, with Logan Barns in 13th.
The race had two sliders from south of the equator. Grayson Laugher finished 14th for Australia, while New Zealand’s Hunter Burke finished 16th.
