Kaillie Humphries will go into the Christmas break unbeaten in the 2012/2013 season. this time, though, she had to fend off two big runs by Jamie Greubel to do it. Humprhies set the fast time in both heats to win her fifth race of the season. Greubel was flanked by her teammate Elana Meyers (who broke her own start record with Katie Eberling), who takes bronze and complete the North American sweep of the women’s bobsled podium. Germans (Kiriasis, Schneiderheinze and Martini) take up the next three spots.
Humphries was obviously thrilled with her effort this weekend: “I really just take one race at a time. We’ve got some heavy competition with the US, but we take it one step at a time and one race at a time and see what happens.”
Jazmine Fenlator jumps a spot to 8th to keep all three USA sleds in the top 10, while Jennifer Ciochetti takes 12th for Canada. Paula Walker led the way for Great Britain in 10th.
