From Altenberg, GER
(January 9, 2024) – Diana Filipszki cruised to victory in ALtenberg, beating out Italy’s Giada Andreutti for top honors.
Filipszki and brakewoman Lena Brunnhüber had the only two starts under six seconds, and had the quickest time at each split in both heats on their way to a 1.11 victory.
Behind Filipszki, Italy’s Andreutti and brakewoman Tania Vicenzino finished second, ahead of Australia’s Sarah Blizzard and Lauren Boden, who finished third.
The bronze for Blizzard and Boden were their first medals as a team.
Debora Annen and Julie Leuenberger finished fourth as the only other team to take both runs.
