From Winterberg, Canada
Well that lasted all of one race. Martins Dukurs lost last race, and clearly had issues with that. Today he took revenge on Winterberg, setting a track record (almost breaking his own 2 hour old record on his second run), beating a very fast Alexander Tretjyakov in the process. The Russian also broke the existing track record, but couldn’t top Dukurs. Christopher Grotheer led the way for Germany, besting countrymen Kroeckel and Rommel to take bronze. Kristan Bromley and Tomass Dukurs finish fourth and fifth.
Tough day for the American men, with John Daly, Kyle Tress and Matt Antoine finishing 11th, 13th and 15th. Eric Neison led the way for Canada finishing 8th, while John Fairbairn finished 18th and Jon Montgomery couldn’t overcome an early wall-hit to finish 29th.
Kristan Bromley finished a stellar day for Bromley Tech finishing 4th, while Ed Smith finished 12th and David Smith 27th for the Brits.
