(November 30, 2023) – Germany’s Jager Moritz and Valentin Steudte slid to a dominating victory in the Junior World Cup season opener in Park City.
Moritz and Steudte led America’s Marcus Mueller and Ansel Haugsjaa by just .03 after the first run, with Germany’s Pascal Kunze and Max Trippner well back in third.
In the second heat Mueller and Haugsjaa slid into the lead with only Jager and Steudte to go. The German duo put down the best run of the race to slide to victory, over .6 quicker in the second heat for a margin of victory of .653.
Mueller and Haugsjaa finished second, while Kunze and Trippner finished third.
Ukraine’s Vadym Mykyievych and Bohdan Babura finished over two seconds back in fourth, while Logan Barnes and Gavin Davis rounded out the field in fifth.
