From Igls, Austria
More of the same from Thomas Florschuetz, as he outruns Beat Hefti in Austria in round 2 of the Europa Cup. The big Swede led after Run 1 by .02, but while Florschuetz picked up time in the second run (as most teams did), Hefti couldn’t keep up, finishing an overall .07 behind the German. Hefti’s countryman Gregor Baumann finished in the bronze medal position for the second time in two races.
It was another solid day for the British team, with Lamin Deen and Ben Simons leading the way with a 6th place finish. Will Golder and Andrew Mathews put the second GBR sled solidly in the top 20 with a 14th place finish.
