From Lake Placid, USA
(March 26, 2023) – Frank Del Duca dominated the small field of four-man sleds in Lake Placid as he took gold in the penultimate race of the 2022/2023 season.
Del Duca and his team had the two quickest starts of the race, and Del Duca had the two best drives of the race on his way to a 2.38 second win over teammate Zach Snyder.
Snyder came into the second heat in third, behind Canada’s Pat Norton, but Norton’s crash late in the second heat dropped him to fourth to move Snyder up a spot to silver.
Germany’s Hans Peter Hannighofer finished third, just under .3 behind Snyder.
USA’s Bryan Berghorn and Hunter Church were both entered into the event but did not start.
