(January 28, 2023) – Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara won their first race of the season ahead of teammates and World Cup point leaders Patrick and Matthias Lambacher.
Pigneter and Clara set the quick time by .44 over Lambacher and Lambacher. On the second run the Lambachers set the fast time of the race. While Pigneter and Florian couldn’t match their teammates’ time, they still were only .02 behind in the heat, plenty enough to hold on for gold.
Lambacher and Lambacher were second, with Slovakia’s Peter and Dominik Neupauer third.
Gabriel and Samuel Halcin from Slovakia rounded out the field.
