From Whsitler, CAN
(January 14, 2023) – Embyr Susko led a Canadian sweep of the women’s luge podium in Whistler, setting the quick time in both heats on her way to gold.
The Canadian was quickest at every split but one, where she was second quickest off the top. From there it was clear sailing as she won by over a second ahead of teammate Beattie Podulsky.
Maya Yuen rounded out the Canadian sweep.
Talia Tonn of the United States finished fourth, ahead of Brianna Gosnell in fifth. Ellie Kleinheinz finished sixth, rallying from 10th in the first heat.
