From Jaufental, ITA
(January 14, 2023) – The team of Patrick and Matthias Lambacher beat out teammates Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara for the fourth straight race to win their second straight gold in Jaufental.
The Lambachers opened up a .28 second advantage over Pigneter and Clara after the first run. On the second run, Pigneter and Clara edged out ANton Gruber Genetti and Hannes Unterholzner to hang onto their spot, but were beaten out by the Lambacher duo once again.
The win for the Lambachers was their fourth straight to start the season. With three races to go in the World Cup season they hold a 60 point advantage over Pigneter and Clara.
Gruber Genetti and Unterholzner finished third for their best finish on the seaon.
Matevz Vertelj and Vid Kralj finished fourth for their fourth straight race, while Peter and Dominik Neupauer finished fifth.
Vertelj and Kralj sit third overall, 160 points out of the lead.
