From Pyeongchang, KOR
(December 17, 2022) – China’s Lihui Xin cruised to victory in the Pyeongchang Youth A Continental Cup women’s luge event, winning by over two seconds.
Xin had the quickest start by over .2 in both heats, and had the quickest time at every split in both heats on her way to a 2.032 second victory over South Korea’s Yubin Shin.
South Korea had five of the top six spots in the finishing order. Shin beat out Soyoon Kim for silver, with Kim winning bronze. Jiye Park finished fourth, nearly four seconds off of Xin’s pace. Hayoung Bae and Riun Kim rounded out the top six.
Thailand’s Sunita Chaiyapantho finished seventh.
