From Bludenz, AUT
(December 16, 2022) – Niklas Zehner beat out teammate Milo Schaub to win the Bludenz stop on the FIL Youth luge tour.
Zehner trailed Schaub by just over .06 going into the second heat. In the second heat Zehner put down a run quicker than his first, and nobody else could get with .2 of him as he slid to victory.
Schaub finished second, .226 back, while Johannes Scharnagl of Austria finished third.
Austria’s Paul Scoher finished fourth, up from sixth in the first heat. Luca Theile and Carlos Stang finished fifth and sixth for Germany.
The United States’ Seth Coates was the top non-German or Austrian in the field in ninth place, up from tenth in the first heat. Orson Colby and Nathan Bivins finished 18th and 19th, while Joshua Berzowski finished 28th.
