(December 17, 2022) – Evelin Lanthaler picked up right where she left off last season, winning handily in Winterleiten.
Lanthaler had the two quickest starts of the race, and was the quickest at each split in both heats on her way to the two quickest downtimes of the event. She won by 1.49 seconds over Austria’s Tina Unterberger, who won silver.
Italy’s Greta Pinggera leapfrogged teammate Nadine Staffler in the second heat to win bronze.
Staffler finished the race in fourth, while Riccarda Ruetz and Michelle Diepold finished fifth and sixth for Austria.
South Korea’s Dasom Kim finished 15th in her FIL World Cup debut.
