Feb. 6, 2021 – Felix Seibel won his second straight Intercontinental Cup, this time cruising to victory by over .6.
Seibel put down the two fastest times of the race, the only two under 50 seconds, on his way to a .65 second victory over Russia’s Vladislav Semenov.
Korea’s Seunggi Jung had the two fastest starts of the race, but finished third, 1.24 seconds back of Seibel.
Germany’s Stefan Röttig finished only .06 out of the medals in fourth, with teammate Kilian von Schleinitz just behind him in fifth.
Latvia’s Krists Netlaus finished sixth.
Austin McCrary was the top North American in the field with a tenth place finish. McCrary had the ninth quickest time of the first heat, and held on for a top ten in the second heat. Teammate Andrew Blaser finished 16th.
Canada’s Kyle Murray and Mark Lynch finished 13th and 14th, respectively.
