Feb. 1, 2021 – Nicole Vogt was once again victorious in the IBSF Monobob World Series, winning gold in Lake Placid.
Vogt had the fast time in both heats on her way to a strong .53 second win over Jamaica’s Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian. She was the only slider to post two sub-1:00 downtimes.
Jamaica’s Carrie Russell finished third.
The win for Vogt is her third in four races, with Russell winning the one other race on the North American leg of the Women’s Monobob World Series.
The United States’ Brittany Reinbolt finished fourth, ahead of Marin Tuono in fifth. American rookie Maddy Cohen finished sixth, with Simidele Adeagbo rounding out the field in seventh.
