Jan. 21, 2021 – Nicole Vogt crushed the competition in the North American Cup opener, winning by over four seconds.
The first heat was close, with Vogt edging out teammate Britany Reinbolt by .06. Reinbolt had trouble at the end of the second run, crashing but still enough to maintain the lead with Vogt to go. Vogt put down the clean run she needed, and took gold, with Reinbolt second in silver.
Both women were well ahead of Carrie Russell in third, with Riley Compton finishing fourth in her first North American Cup start as a pilot.
