(Nov. 27, 2020) – Felix Siebel won his fifth IBSF European Cup gold medal in the EC opener, leading a German sweep of the top four positions.
Seibel opened up a .27 advantage over the field on his first run, and then tacked on another .13 in the second heat to win by .40 over teammate Kilian von Schleinitz.
The podium was filled out by von Schleinitz in second and Cedric Renner in third. Renner edged out Lukas Nydegger for the position, while Nydegger finished well ahead of anyone else to give Germany the top four positions.
Great Britain filled out the next three spots in the field, with Jacob Salisbury scoring a fifth place finish in his first career IBSF race. Laurence BBostock and Ben Fulker finished sixth and seventh to round out the British effort.
Israel’s Jared Firestone finished 11th for a career best finish in Europe, while The Gambia’s Amadou Krubally finished 22nd.
