Jan. 11, 2020 – Great Britain’s Amelia Colton won her second IBSF European Cup gold medal, sliding to victory in Igls.
The British slider had the quickest run in both heats on her way to a two tenths victory over Italian Alessia Crippa.
Crippa moved up from third to second in the second heat after teammate Valentina Margaglio had trouble at the start and fell from second back to seventh place.
Race 4 winner Alina Tararychenkova finished third, .07 out of silver.
Germany’s Sarah Wimmer finished fourth, ahead of Great Britain’s Hannah Stevenson and Latvia’s Endija Terauda.
Rachel Hanagan helped put three Brits in the top ten with her eighth place run, while the United States’ Kristen Hurley finished 15th.
