From Winterberg, GER
Dec. 13, 2019 – Richard Oelsner stayed perfect on his 2019/2020 European Cup season, cruising to 2-man victory in Winterberg.
The German was 9th off the top in the first heat, .11 behind Russian Rostislav Gaitukevich, but overcame that deficit to finish the first heat .15 in the lead. On the second run Oelsner and brakeman Henrik Bosse picked up their pace by .06, and beat the field by a quarter second, giving the German a .42 second victory over Gaitiukevich.
The young Russian finished second, just ahead of Hans Peter Hannighofer in third.
Maximilian Illmann finished fourth, with Mihai Tentea of Romania fifth and Swiss slider Cedric Follador sixth.
British slider Lamin Deen moved up from 20th in the first heat to finish 16th in the 30 team field.
